As promised, over the weekend we got the first trailer - and a brand new poster - for John Wick Chapter 2, starring Keanu Reeves.

One of last year's breakout hits, John Wick's high-octane thrills took the revenge flick to new levels; as Reeves' infamous assassin obliterates New York's Russian mafia after the death of his beloved pooch.

His old colleague is plotting to seize control of an global assassin's guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world's deadliest killers. But that's what makes John Wick so wonderful; it is artistic with its violence.

Much of the teased footage shows more of the first film's impressive action sequences inspired by anime and martial arts films.

"When it came to coming up with a story idea, we had like ten bad ideas, and they we were like, 'fuck it, ' what would have just happened the next day". "The man, the myth, the legend", Laurence Fishburne's The Bowler King says.

Plot: The continuing adventures of former hitman, John Wick. Keanu Reeves added another badass action hero part to his resume (alongside Neo in The Matrix and Constantine), and fans got a sick action movie experience that left the overwhelming majority of fans satisfied. Wick certainly isn't. The creators have already said that a third installment is in the works.

The sequel also sees the return of Ian McShane as Winston, the owner of the Continental Hotel.
