Mother alligator herds babies across busy golf course

One after another, a mother alligator spent the afternoon trying to usher her babies across a Charlotte County golf course, a day-long feat that was caught on a video posted on Facebook.

"Mama gator started across the golf course to the other pond with babies following her", she told WFLA.

It is not a rare sight to see alligators meandering across golf courses in Florida, but to see a small army of the reptiles using the green as a thoroughfare is somewhat less ordinary.

The super mom was seen standing guard throughout their move, while also hurrying back and forth between the ponds, presumably to ensure no stragglers got left behind.

Sharon Whiting says she had been watching the alligator family since the alligator had her babies in February.

A Florida woman witnessed an adorable gang of tiny killers parade from a tiny pond to their new forever home. She believes they were moving due to their previous home slowly drying up.
