"When I chose to come back here I dreamed to win the Premier League". Then, Costa was among the players dousing Conte in champagne and beer.

Conte, who attended his post-match media conference in a tracksuit, said: "I have to change my suit because my suit is a disaster now". It's a great squad of players they've got there.

Fabregas has played in the league for 10 seasons, making his debut for Arsenal in 2004 before leaving for Spanish club Barcelona in 2011.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Chelsea's 1-0 win against the Baggies on Friday, Lampard added: 'They are by far the strongest team this year.

Conte refused to discuss reports of a disagreement with 20-goal Costa in public, attributing the striker's absence from the Premier League trip to Leicester to a back injury.

Batshuayi is not alone in having had to wait for playing opportunities, with Kurt Zouma, club captain John Terry and Nathan Ake, who returned from a loan spell at Bournemouth in January, all in the same boat.

If they achieve that feat it will be the club's first double since the 2009-10 season under Conte's compatriot Ancelotti.

Antonio Conte is an intense manager.

Conte's passion and work ethic is clearly infectious.

Second-placed Tottenham's loss at West Ham last Friday and Chelsea's 3-0 defeat of Middlesbrough on Monday meant the Blues needed three points from three games to clinch the championship.

He added: "It's great to see this link with the players, with our fans".

"We're disappointed we didn't get something out of the last (home) game of the season and it would have been deserved if we had done that".

Pulis praised his players and Albion supporters for testing Chelsea, who had to dig deep before Michy Batshuayi's victor eight minutes from time.

Of course, winning regularly helps to foster a happy atmosphere.

Batshuayi is yet to start a league game since arriving from Marseille a year ago but could be given a run-out if, as expected, manager Antonio Conte elects to shuffle his pack.

Gabriel Jesus has scored five and has a couple of assists to his name in six Premier League starts and I'm looking forward to seeing much more of the young Brazilian next term.

But with the hard-working Conte at the helm, expect Chelsea to overcome the challenges.
