Nicole Kidman celebrates 50th birthday

The Lion star - who has daughters Sunday, nine, and Faith, six, with 49-year-old country musician Keith Urban - admits she still pretends she is 21. She recalled thinking: "I still don't have a life, what is wrong with me?"

Nicole Kidman on missing Tom Cruise in her life. "So happy to be with my family". "My friend, I am so happy to have shared incredible experiences with you over the last 3 decades".

While it's taken sometime for Kidman to claw her way back to the top, she's always kept it interesting by taking on challenging roles that forced her to step way outside of her comfort zone: singing in Moulin Rouge, taking on a South African accent in The Interpreter - even donning a prosthetic nose in The Hours - of course, that nose won her an Oscar.

Reese Witherspoon: "Wishing a big happy birthday to my dear friend, the one and only, mega-talented, #NicoleKidman! Love you, lady!" Witherspoon wrote on Instagram.

"A remarkable human who gives so much love and spirit to all those around her", Watts added.

"Happy Birthday to this attractive woman", Watts added on her own account.

"I just loved the idea of doing something that was completely unpredictable for me", she told ET about the 1995 superhero flick.
