Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is made on the budget of almost Rs 20 cr and the overall collection of the film now stands at Rs 83.45 cr.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha is raking in the money unlike the recent Bollywood releases. The film is based on the ailing issue of open defecation and methods that can be adopted to curb it. Even though all the other major big budget films of 2017- Tubelight, Jagga Jasoos and Jab Harry Met Sejal failed at the box office despite having the stellar star cast due to their unimpressive and loose story plots. After a fabulous opening weekend, Shree Narayan Singh's directorial debut is racing towards the Rs 100-crore mark.

Currently, Raees is has grossed more than $ 2.27 million [₹ 14.59 cr] in overseas box office till Monday. This is expected to be yet another feather in Akshay Kumar's cap. Jolly LLB 2 stands at the fifth position and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is the sixth highest opener of 2017.
