Lady Gaga calls Selena Gomez 'warrior princess' post kidney transplant

In a lengthy post she explained why she had been absent for most of the summer as she shared a series of pictures of her scars.

This past Thursday, Gomez revealed on her respective social media that the reason she hid away from the public spotlight for awhile was that she was recovering from a kidney transplant. The 25-year-old singer recently admitted to undergoing the life-saving operation after her battle with autoimmune disease Lupus had caused the health of her organs to deteriorate, and her close pal Demi has now praised her as a "strong woman". "It was what I needed to do for my overall health".

In an Instagram post depicting her and Raisa, 29, in adjoining hospital beds, she wrote, "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my attractive friend Francia Raisa". "I'm in good hands with the very best doctors". I am incredibly blessed.

The "Bad Liar" songstress also shared that she had long time friend Francia Raisa of The Secret Life of the American Teenager fame to think for her new kidney.

In an Instagram post, Selena wrote she can't even begin to describe how "thankful" she is for her attractive friend, Francia Raisa.

And helping to raise some awareness about Lupus, she added: "Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made". I love you so much sis.

As Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez both uncovered genuine medical problems this week, the Mother Monster has connected with Gomez sending "prayers" and "love".
