The deadline day saga which saw Arsenal and Manchester City in discussions for a swap deal which involved Raheem Sterling and Alexis Sanchez is reportedly set to rear its head again as the Gunners have reportedly looked to make another move for City's Sterling in January.
Pep Guardiola was confident the 28-year-old wanted to join City, despite a failed £60m pursuit in the previous transfer window.
Reports in the final 72 hours of trading in the summer suggested that City had made a desperate attempt to bring Sanchez to the club by offering Sterling in a cash-plus-player deal.
As Alexis Sanchez's contract continues to wind down at the Emirates Stadium this season, Arsenal fans can probably expect to see plenty of rumours regarding the future of their star man over the next few months.
However, the Mirror claims Arsenal will only sanction a move for Sanchez in three months time if City are prepared to let Sterling return to London.
But once the January transfer window opens, the intense speculation involving the aforementioned players will no doubt surface.
The Brazilian sensation has shone for Guardiola since his January arrival, scoring 12 goals already and forming one of the most deadly strike partnerships in European football with Sergio Aguero.
"They still have the funds to sign him and can beat City's wage offer".
The Citizens still want to sign the Chile worldwide in January but Sterling has been assured by the club's top brass that he has a long-term future in Manchester, which could now see him handed extra security.
Manchester United were also strongly linked to Griezmann earlier in the summer before switching focus to a pure No. 9 in Romelu Lukaku.
But Paris Saint-Germain are ramping up their interest and want him to partner Neymar and Kylian Mbappe upfront.
