-Ellen DeGeneres, speaking on The Ellen Show about why she wouldn't have President Donald Trump as a guest on her show. "As NBC prepares to launch a new morning show led by the much-scrutinized Kelly, it has unleashed a promotional salvo that speaks less about her news chops and instead tries to unveil other facets of her personality".
DeGeneres goes on to explain how she feels Trump is "dangerous", and she just doesn't want to give him that platform. I have to at least admire them in some way, and I can't have someone that I feel is not only unsafe for the country and for me, personally, as a gay woman, but to the world.
She decried Trump's administration for "dividing all of us" and reiterated, to whoops of approval from the studio audience: "I don't want him on the show".
"I would not say no to a sitting president", Kelly says. She joined NBC and was given a prime-time show: "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly". "I just wanted to cover the news".
The commander in chief does not have a spot waiting for him at The Ellen Show!
On Jan. 3, Kelly announced that she would be leaving the Fox News network during a segment on her show, "The Kelly File".
The former Fox News anchor told DeGeneres that she was also disenchanted with the political nature of her previous position. "That's not who I am", Kelly said. I was never a political person.
