Jose Mourinho aiming for fifth Carabao Cup win

The Red Devils took on Burton Albion in the League Cup, now known as the Carabao Cup, on Wednesday, with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial inspiring the Mancunians to a win.

"Burton" in the past season led the fight for residence permit, and the same task the team is now solving.

United manager Jose Mourinho whose side comes into the tournament as the defending champion from last season, has made a decision to start both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford today with Romelu Lukaku named on the bench. "If we don't win it it's because the opponents are better than us".

However, Martial has already scored four goals this season, the latest of which coming in the 4-1 Carabao Cup thumping of Burton Albion in midweek.

Manchester City, level with United at the top of the Premier League table, travel to West Brom for their third-round tie on Wednesday while Antonio Conte has confirmed Eden Hazard will make his first start of the season for Chelsea when they meet Nottingham Forest.

Anthony Martial had one assist and goal apiece, the same as Jesse Lingard.

The South Coast have not enjoyed much success on the attacking front though, and have scored just four goals in their five league games.

Mourinho has restricted him to just 51 minutes of Premier League football so far, with only two of his seven appearances in all competitions coming as a starter. And I must say that the team is pleased with their game.

Despite his comments, only Sir Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough have won the competition as many times as Mourinho. While Ligue 1 Isn't the strongest European league, the fact that Mbappe is a touch younger than Rashford means we can expect more rapid improvement from the French striker because he has significantly fewer games under his belt.

Southampton v Manchester United is the feature game on Premier League Live with Sky Sports which gets underway at 2.00 on Today FM on Saturday.

"Playing against Manchester United is one of the most lovely things".

Woodward also expressed his excitement for the ongoing, by adding: "We concluded a successful 2016/17 season with a total of three trophies and a return to Champions League football".
