Super Mario Run's biggest update features new levels, Princess Daisy

This is crucial because finishing stages in Remix 10 nets you new items and rescue Princess Daisy who joins the game as a playable character.

Super Mario Run, Nintendo's first real foray into mobile games, is receiving a substantial update on September 29 which adds new playable content since the game's launch in December 2016.

Super Mario Run Remix 10 is a new mode that lets you play a set of 10 super short sections from Super Mario Run's existing levels in quick succession.

The new character is Princess Daisy, and she will be added to the game as its seventh playable character, not including the color variations of Yoshi. According to a news post on Apple's App Store, only viewable on Apple devices with iOS 11 installed, the free update comes with a new world of levels, a new playable character, and a new mode.

In addition to the above, there will be a new mode called Remix 10.

There's also a whole new world coming to the game with 9 new levels.

Here's a cute final flourish for you - the update also allows you to play the game while playing your favorite music in the background, and when you do, Mario and his friends will wear headphones.

Nintendo will try to get you to play "Super Mario Run" again with a new character, new mode, and new world.

To celebrate all these additions to the game, Super Mario Run will be 50 percent off for two weeks starting September 29 - the same time this update will be available for download.

The new world offers nine more levels that can only be unlocked after completing Worlds 1-6.

After years of refusing to develop games for mobile phones, Nintendo finally made the plunge last year withSuper Mario Run.
