Paul Pogba May Need Surgery, MUFC to Make Decision Next Week

Pogba was forced off injured during United's Champions League opener against Basel, and has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since September 12. There is no set timeline on when the midfielder will return as of now, but it will be known this coming week.

The last official word from the club on the status of Paul Pogba came yesterday, via Mourinho's weekly news conference.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said on Friday he has "no idea" when Paul Pogba will be available after injury but he expects his squad to cope with the French midfielder's absence.

The report says United will continue to assess the 24-year-old and make a decision next week.

"His injury is a little different to Dembele, so he could heal without surgery".

"This kind of problem is usually a sum of many coincidences and is affected by muscle fatigue as well as rapid stopping and quick turning, with the brain going quicker than the feet". I'm not going to cry or count the days for Pogba to be back.

Manchester United return to Champions League action on Wednesday night when they take on CSKA Moscow in Russian Federation. "I am very pleased with his attitude overall, and then it is easier to play well". The two-time Champions League victor has re-iterated that Pogba's absence opens the door for the likes of Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick to make an impression. "It's a great opportunity for other players to play and I trust them all". I can not tell you there is a rule about injured players.
