Demi Lovato Gets Real About Drugs, Dating & Depression in 'Simply Complicated' Trailer

Demi Lovato has always given her fans insight into her life, whether it be about personal topics like mental health and body positivity.

Speaking in a trailer for her upcoming YouTube documentary "Simply Complicated", Lovato said, "One thing I'll never stop doing is being honest".

'I don't know what everyone's going to think. "And that's the best I can do".

"I was not easy to work with", Lovato says in the documentary, before Nick Jonas chimes in, "And then this episode happened" (referring to the punching, presumably). When she was 18 years old, the "Body Say" singer entered a rehab facility to seek treatment for several issues, including depression, self-harm, bulimia, and substance abuse. When I'm confident, I feel sexy.

"I had anxiety around this interview" she admits. "And when I feel sexy, watch out!" Its lead single, "Sorry Not Sorry", has been certified platinum in the States, and is Demi's highest charting single to date in the U.S., peaking at number eight so far.

As they watch scenes with Lovato and Jonas, who played love interests in the Disney film, Lovato's friend Matthew Scott asks, "Did you have a crush on him, like, this whole time?" to which Lovato responds, "Oh, yeah". Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated premieres on YouTube on October 18!
