Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's famous blue WagonR auto was stolen from the Delhi Secretariat, the seat of the state government that Kejriwal heads, in New Delhi on Thursday. The auto was stolen when it was parked just outside the Delhi Secretariat. According to reports, CCTV footage regarding stolen Wagon- R has been received but the quality is blurred. "The incident was reported at around 2.30 p.m. Complaint has been registered at IP Estate police station and investigation into the case has been started".
The Wagon R, gifted by an AAP supporter living overseas, was dubbed the "AAP Mobile". Kejriwal, who has been fighting to get control of the police forces in Delhi, questioned the police about where its attention was these days.
Even as Delhi Police jumped into action, Twitterati were not too far behind and went into overdrive to make light of what is a serious matter.
The vehicle, along with Kejriwal himself, made headlines when the AAP boos travel in it while campaigning for the chief minister's post, which he won in January 2014. Kejriwal had also used it while campaigning during the 2013 elections.
After using it during his famous 49-day-stint, Kejriwal gave it to Naveen Jaihind, the party's Haryana incharge.
At present, the mid-2000s Maruti WagonR was being used by the Aam Aadmi Party's media coordinator Vandana Singh.
