Amazon Puts Roy Price on Leave of Absence

An Amazon studio executive is facing major sexual harassment accusations from a TV producer who claimed that he made extremely lewd comments to her during a studio party, saying: "You will love my d-k".

She said the Amazon executive - who she did not name - said the rape "hadn't been proven".

Amazon's decision comes just four days after Harvey Weinstein was sacked from The Weinstein Company, a film studio that he co-founded, following allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault by multiple women in the entertainment industry.

The move came hours after The Hollywood Reporter posted an article detailing harassment allegations lodged by Isa Hackett, a producer of Amazon's critically acclaimed series "The Man in the High Castle".

Amazon did not respond to multiple requests for comment regarding McGowan's claims.

Hackett's father was novelist Philip K. Dick.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Price had been suspended.

One of Weinstein's accusers, actress Rose McGowan, tweeted at Bezos on Thursday, writing that a top-level Amazon Studios executive had rejected her claims that Weinstein had raped her.

Price joined Amazon in 2004, overseeing the launch of its digital video store and eventually its streaming service. As she talked with other executives, she says that Price stepped close to her and loudly said, "Anal sex!" in her ear.

Casey Affleck - who has also been dogged by allegations of sexual harassment that he has denied - won a best actor Oscar this year for his role in the Amazon original movie "Manchester by the Sea".

"We are reviewing our options for our projects we have with the Weinstein Company", the statement continued. In recent months, sources say Amazon is taking a hard look at its original scripted programming choices, that has resulted in the cancellations of pricey dramas The Last Tycoon and Z: The Beginning of Everything, the latter of which was axed after a surprise season two renewal.
