Gal Gadot will lead the cast of a new World War II revenge movie called Ruin before she steps into the boots of Wonder Woman for a new sequel. Gadot, if she signs on, would be able to film Ruin and then immediately get to work on Petty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2.
The Wonder Woman actress is of course enjoying a good time of late, and is looking to capitalise on any interesting projects that come her way. The film will be produced by Marc Butan's MadRiver Pictures, with production set to begin in early 2018.
Directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, the story follows an ex-Nazi captain who hunts down the still-living members of his SS squad to absolve him of his war crimes.
It remains unclear what role Gadot may take in the film, and no other casting announcements have been made as yet.
Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
Director Kurzel's previous credits include the very dark Shakespeare adaptation Macbeth and the disappointing video game film Assassin's Creed, both starring Michael Fassbender.
Gadot, who is repped by WME, is also attached to star opposite Bradley Cooper in MGM's supernatural thriller Deeper. Ruin sounds like it might be a ideal vehicle for Fassbender, but as yet there are no reports about the actor being attached to the film. Her DCEU commitments mean she is locked in to Justice League 2 and the Flash standalone Flashpoint as well as Wonder Woman 2.
