Linkin Park releases Carpool Karaoke episode in memory of Chester Bennington

Linkin Park have released a video of the band's carpool karaoke that was recorded just days before singer Chester Bennington's death.

In scenes taped on 14 July, Bennington can be seen singing along to several Linkin Park hits with bandmates Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn and guest Carpool Karaoke presenter Ken Jeong.

Bennington hanged himself at his California home on July 20.

The 23-minute episode is being streamed for free on Facebook with the permission of Bennington's family. Besides the covers of "Hey Ya" by Outkast and "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The episode was dedicated in Bennington's memory and was released with the blessing of his family and Linkin Park band mates.

It is a bittersweet video with Chester saying "this is probably the greatest day of my life".

It ends with a link to the One More Light Fund, which the band has established to honour Bennington.

Zedd has announced that he will be performing with the group Linkin Park on stage at their event on October 27 honoring the life of their vocalist Chester Bennington who tragically committed suicide. Later this month the surviving members of the band will reunite for a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with friends with all proceeds going to charity.
