Chicago Bulls: Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic involved in fight, Mirotic hospitalized

Nikola Mirotic is now hospitalized after an altercation with Chicago Bulls teammate Bobby Portis, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports. Mirotic is out indefinitely, according to the report.

Bulls forward Bobby Portis sent teammate Nikola Mirotic to the hospital with an "alleged cheap shot" at team practice today. "Mirotic is undergoing tests, but is expected to be out for the foreseeable future, league sources said".

Additionally, NBC Sports Chicago's Vincent Goodwill is reporting that Mirotic was punched in the face by Portis and is also under evaluation for a possible concussion.

Mirotic was set to begin his fourth season as a member of the Bulls, having signed a two-year, $27 million deal this offseason to stay in Chicago. Surgery will likely be required.

The Bulls are evaluating disciplinary action.

Just two days before their season opener against the Raptors, the Bulls are in the news for all the wrong reasons.
