WWE Raw preview: The Shield in action together

Will the Hounds of Justice emerge victorious?

Although there had been early plans for her to return on the Smackdown brand, PWInsider.com has learned that WWE will instead have her return to the Raw roster, where she had been originally drafted during the 2016 brand split but never actually appeared post-Draft.

In case you didn't know.

It is hard to say what the original plans called for, but it was announced the night after TLC that Raw Tag Team champions Rollins and Ambrose would face SmackDown Tag Team champions The Usos at Survivor Series due to the brand warfare theme of the show.

WWE announced that both Reigns and Bray Wyatt were dealing with "medical issues" resulting in their being replaced on the card.

We're less than one week away from the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view, and even though there will be several Champion vs.

But the ex-WWE Champion has healed and The Shield's long-awaited in-ring reunion is expected to take place this Sunday in a dream match against Smackdown LIVE's Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods.

The New Day has already faked a second SmackDown invasion, so having them lead the charge again and interfere with The Shield's business for the second time could be the catalyst for the rumored match.

The Shield's first match back was supposed to be at WWE TLC, but Reigns missed the show and the European tour due to a viral infection.

Needless to say, it's something to look forward to on tonight's episode of Raw.
