However, the company had launched the device in just white color and now, the company is introducing the black color variant as well. Apparently, the Chinese behemoth has something else on its minds right now as there have been certain leaked prototypes of the next-generation Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 available on the Internet.
The device is designed by Philippe Starck and will have Starck's signature inscribed on the back.
Back in September, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi MIX 2 with the new 18:9 bezel-less display in China. On the inside, it is just as great as the limited editions, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, a lovely 5.99-inch Full HD display, 6GB of memory and up to 256GB of internal storage. The Mi Mix 2 Ceramic Black variant is priced at 4,699 Yuan, while the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition will cost you 4,999 Yuan. The new Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition will have 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. But months ahead of its formal release date, the first rumours about the smartphone that is likely to be dubbed the Mi 7 have surfaced. It is powered by 2.45 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 64-bit processor along with Adreno 540 GPU.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 boasts a single 12MP autofocus rear camera (Sony IMX 386 sensor) with dual-tone LED flash. It is backed by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology using the 9V/2A (18W) power adapter.
On the camera front, the Mi 7 is expected to sport dual-rear camera with a f/1.7 aperture. Of course, the basis of the device will be smartphone Qualcomm 845, announcement of which is expected in December of this year. Out of the box, the handset will run on Android 7 Nougat with MIUI 9 on the top.
The handset measures 151.8 x 75.5 x 7.7mm and weighs in at 185 grams.
