"In North America, Samsung was the driving force in the quarter due to its new flagship products".

While a new color variant could be in the works for the Galaxy S9 duo, it may not be available for all carriers or regions.

The next-generation Samsung Galaxy A7 is reportedly getting a new name with a brand-new design to boot, which might be the cause for the moniker change in the first place. Besides that, we can expect black, blue and gold as well there's also a possibility of a Burgundy Red which looks like the one in the cover image header above.

Earlier this year, it was rumored that the Galaxy S8 would have purple as one of its color options. Android Headlines says the screen looks more like the super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) one found on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. That never happened but now the rumors are surfacing again for the Galaxy S9.

Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy S9 next year, probably just prior to the start of Barcelona's annual Mobile World Congress tech tradeshow.

The phone is likely to retain a number of features from this year's Galaxy S8, including the widely acclaimed Infinity Display. However, a source suggests that the Galaxy S9 fingerprint sensor won't be integrated into the display.

There is no word yet on when the Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus will be made official, but reports have it that it will only be released to limited territories. So while the Galaxy S9 may come in that color you so greatly desire, it may not be available in your country.

Even if the reports are wrong, we are glad to know that Samsung is reacting faster to Android updates.
