Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been fined 8,000 pounds ($11,000) following his sending-off during a match against Swansea City last month, the Football Association said on Wednesday.

Fabregas' impact on Chelsea's title winning campaign was crucial last season, and when you consider the fact he provided an wonderful 12 assists in just 13 starts, it's easy to see how he won his manager around.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea's heavyweight clash against Atletico Madrid in UEFA Champions League, Fabregas revealed he was anxious last season but chose to put his head down and win his place back in the squad.

"I think Cesc at the start of the last season did not play a lot, but I was very happy because through work he tried to change my mind and it happened", Conte told reporters.

"My relationship with the manager (now) is fantastic".

Emenalo added, of Conte's previous disputes with the club over transfers: "There are no ill feelings now, I think he's moved on from that and he's just focused on trying to get through what is a tough schedule and try to find some rhythm with the team again".

However, he says he doesn't feel his age.

"Well, I would be lying if I say that I wasn't anxious. What is 30? Nothing", said Fabregas. At the same time I'm very happy because I'm where I want to be.

Fabregas will play a big role coming ahead if Chelsea want to compete on all four fronts with his vision being key to Chelsea unlocking defences. "When the moment comes to talk about different things I'll be here, ready for it".

"He's a victor in his mind, in his mentality, for this reason he is very strong".
