Both President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump made small errors on tweets commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor.

In 1988, then-Vice President George H.W. Bush mystified a group of veterans during a speech to American Legion members by declaring, "Today is Pearl Harbor Day" - on September 7.

Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed today, Thursday, December 7, 2017, as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day in Minnesota.

In his speech marking the attack on Pearl Harbor, FDR called it "a date which will live in infamy".

Six World War II veterans shared their stories about serving with a group of students from Vanguard College Preparatory school on Pearl Harbor Day. A couple thousand members of the public, Navy and National Park Service officials will join them. "11/7/1941 Thank you to all military for your courage and sacrifice!"

The Palm Springs Air Museum has a number of artifacts related to Pearl Harbor as well as warplanes from that era.

Kasich's resolution noted that more than 3,500 Americans were killed or wounded as a result of the attack.
