National Football League upholds Gronkowski's one-game suspension for late hit

Tre'Davious White thankfully did not suffer any serious injuries from the hit that earned Rob Gronkowski a one-game suspension.

As for the National Football League issuing Gronkowski a one-game suspension for the hit last Sunday, White turned away from the television cameras and muttered: "It's a joke, dog".

"It's a joke", White said.

Gronkowski was frustrated that no flag was thrown on a play where he appeared to be held, so he chose to take it out on White. I'm laying there. He snuck me with my back turned. Gronkowski was called for unnecessary roughness, but not kicked out of the game.

White was dazed and immediately evaluated for a concussion.

White has been cleared to return to the field and will play in Week 14. "I probably could've bit my tongue off". He could of broke my neck.

Gronkowski's one-game ban is a result of the New England Patriots tight end's actions. I've got a son to raise. Dirty shot, so what does that make him?

"I'm glad I had my mouthpiece in", White told reporters in Buffalo. "Bad headache. It is what it is". "All that. People aren't thinking about that when they react". "Once we get back to that week where we play [the Patriots]", we'll see what happens".

The Bills and Patriots meet again on Christmas Eve for a Week 16 game at Gillette Stadium.

"I'm focused on the Colts [this Sunday]", he said.

White added: "The guy did what he wanted to do".
