Rudy Gobert will miss 1 month with knee injury, per report

After having just returned from an 11-game absence on December 4 against the Washington Wizards, Rudy Gobert will, once again, be watching from the sidelines after suffering an injury in Utah's Friday night win in Boston.

Gobert was examined Saturday by the Utah Jazz medical staff and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing.

"This group's got character and they are going to compete no matter what the circumstances, and they did".

The Utah Jazz will be without their defensive anchor for an extended period of time for the second time this season.

Gobert was certainly missed by Utah as they were beaten 109-100 by the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road on Saturday night.

Our models project Favors for averages of 12.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks over 28.1 minutes per game remaining this season.

Ekpe Udoh is the one who will see more minutes on the court and although he is an excellent defender, Udoh is not very useful in the offense, and I don't think Snyder will rely on him as it was the case with Gobert.

In their last outing against the Boston Celtics, frontcourt partner Derrick Favors landed awkwardly on Gobert's left knee and it immediately sent the big man to the ground in agony. Favors' injury is not that serious, though, and he should be back pretty soon. However, they will now space the floor more offensively.

Despite injuries, Gobert has had a solid season himself.
