Bharti Airtel on Friday said it has tied up with e-commerce platform Amazon India to offer one-year subscription of Amazon Prime free of cost to its postpaid subscribers. At Amazon Prime Video, we are focused on bringing the latest and exclusive content to India.
"We are thrilled to come together with Airtel to make Amazon Prime benefits directly available to more customers", said Akshay Sahi, Director and Head of Amazon Prime India in a press statement. Their Prime service offers better content as compared with Airtel's own Airtel TV and that of the competing telecoms. In both cases, 12 months of subscription to Amazon Prime is given for free, but there will only be 9 months left if the subscriber activates the free service in April.
It is to be noted that this offer is only for those Amazon users who do not have a Prime membership.
Airtel had infinity plans of Rs. 499, Rs. 799 and Rs.1,199 in which the users get 30GB, 50GB, and 75Gb data respectively. Eligible plans can be checked on the company's website.
If you are on a lower plan, upgrade to the myPlan Infinity Postpaid plan worth Rs. 499/- or above, which offer a minimum of 30GB high-speed data monthly, unlimited Local, STD and National Roaming calls, data rollover up to 500 GB, and device protection.
Vi-Fiber customers need to download the Airtel TV app on their registered mobile number and follow the steps described above. Once installed, open the app and click on the special Airtel-Amazon Digital Card which will be available only to the eligible Airtel customers. Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video and similar services offer a wide range of entertainment content like movies, TV shows, music and more.
