According to the deceased's family, Mujahid Afridi, a nephew of PTI district president, killed Aasma Rani after she turned down his marriage proposal.
Aasma Rani, who was in her 20s, was able to see her killer before he ran away, and in a video of her lying on the floor taking her last breath, she uttered his name: "Mujahid".
Asma received three bullets and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, SHO Janan said.
He sough a report from KP Police IG Salahudin Mehsood within 24 hours. The family had also complained to the police about him.
Earlier today Kohat police informed they have arrested Mujahid Afridi's brother Sadiq, after the former fled to Saudi Arabia, reported Express News. After carrying out the murder, both the Afridi brothers took a flight to Saudi Arabia through Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.
The chief justice said he has heard that the suspect was a relative of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and inquired as to how he managed to fleeÂ the country.
Police said that the Interpol has been contacted through the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to assist in Afridi's arrest.
Her father has appealed for justice, saying that Aasma's attackers are political people.
In her initial statement given at the hospital, Asma had identified Mujahid Afridi as the person who had fired at her.
The suspect shot her thrice after she stepped out of a rickshaw with her sister-in-law, police said.
The alleged killer Mujhaidullah Afridi is the nephew of PTI district Vice-President Aftab Alam.
