Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus gets the official Android Oreo update

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus gets the official Android Oreo update

It has been several months since we last received an update on the status of Samsung's Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8. If Samsung starts the rollout of Android Oreo update to its 2015 flagship phones, the device owners will benefit a lot. Will all the devices receive the Oreo update or just the T-mobile variants?

Oreo updates for the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note 5 would be a pretty big deal.

Earlier Samsung has started the Android Oreo Beta programme for their Samsung Galaxy S8-series device, and now some new information is there which will make Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users go insane.

If Oreo does indeed make its way to Samsung's 2015 flagships, it will be very impressive.

Well, it is still unclear whether the other networks in the United States and the original global variants of the devices will get the update, as there is no any confirmation on this as of the current time.

The details have been revealed via manufacturer development pages on T-Mobile's official website.

Samsung's beta testing period for the Oreo update ended two weeks ago. While we still don't know what's happening in Samsung's labs, there's a high chance that these Galaxy and Note models will eventually receive Android Oreo updates. Yes, one lucky user of Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone got this Oreo update officially.

The Galaxy S8 Oreo update weights in at 487MB, and contains the latest February 2018 security patch. The Indian release of EMUI 8.0 brings VoLTE support for Vodafone and Jio users along with the usual enhancements characteristic of EMUI and Android 8 Oreo.

Meanwhile, the South Korean company hasn't yet announced anything officially in this regard.
