Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea...

Mark Donaldson and Alejandro Moreno delve into the latest rumours surrounding Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele, Angel Di Maria and more.

The Mirror is now suggesting that the former Southampton man is expected to make his return to the Tottenham side for their trip to Spotland on Sunday as Mauricio Pochettino's men look to book a quarter-final spot. The Belgian appears destined to leave Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of the season, despite Jose Mourinho's best efforts to keep him.

Interest from other clubs is also born from the ongoing contract stand-off between the club and Alderweireld, with the defender said to be demanding a huge new wage of around £150,000-a-week, a sum which would smash the current wage structure at the north London club.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has agreed a deal to join Besiktas at the end of the season. The 25-year-old Argentine has just returned after being out with a hip injury for over a year.

The situation has caught the attention of a number of clubs with the Mirror claiming that Man Utd and Chelsea are watching developments closely ahead of potential summer swoops.

Alderweireld is now contracted at Spurs until the summer of 2019, which could be extend to 2020 due to a one-year extension option.

City are also looking after their future, with The Times reporting that they are close to deals for Philippe Sandler, a 21-year-old defender from PEC Zwolle, and Claudio Gomes, a 17-year-old midfielder who plays for PSG's youth team.
