Five-storeyed under-construction building collapses in Bengaluru, 3 labourers killed

They said at least 10 more workers were feared trapped under the debris of the ill-fated building. Six people have been rescued so far. "Rescue operations are underway", Bengaluru Mayor Sampath Raj was quoted saying by a leading daily.

State Disaster Relief Force personnel are conducting the rescue operation, and are expected to be joined by National Disaster Force officials.

While the ground and first floor of the building situated in Kasavanahalli near the IT hub of Sarjapur road caved in.

The building has reportedly been under construction for six years, but no construction work had been undertaken in the past two years.

A total of 20 labourers were working in the building when the incident took place.

As per reports, at least four people were killed and fifteen are suspected to be feared trapped under the debris of the building collapsed.
