Samuel L. Jackson also returns as Frozone, and Brad Bird will once again take up the mantle of director/voice of Edna "No Capes" Mode. However, the ban on superheroes, announced in the first film, seems to be carrying on into the sequel, much to the outrage of the Parr children.
Elastigirl (Helen Hunt) is back for the sequel to "Incredibles". The trailer resembles a jazzed, superpowered take on Mr Mom, as Robert Parr battles with modern math techniques and perusing Jack-Jack sleep time stories.
The trailer also shows even more of Jack Jack's super powers, including teleportation. An ubervillain who first appeared at the original's end, the Underminer (voiced by Pixar staple John Ratzenberger), is wreaking havoc on the planet, and "supers" remain outlaws. The PG-rated animated family-friendly superhero movie went on to ring up more than $633 million worldwide during the entirety of its theatrical run. Fans of the franchise can watch the new trailer below, which aired during the Olympics earlier this evening. Previously, Disney had released a short teaser back in November which focused on Mr Incredible discovering baby Jack-Jack's epic superpowers.
Written and directed by Brad Bird, The Incredibles 2 opens in theaters June 15, 2018. However, they, along with Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson), and a new super Voyd (Sophia Bush) will have to battle a new villain with a sinister plot.
