It is fair to say Lamar is quickly becoming one of the most significant rap artists of all time, and in August festival-goers will be able to see him take the main slot for the first time. Many more acts to follow.

Rapper of the year Kendrick Lamar will headline this year's Reading and Leeds festivals alongside Kings of Leon and Fall Out Boy. At The Disco have all been revealed as this year's headliners, bookings which have left a large number of ticket-owners with the prevailing sense of disappointment. The Followills last headlined the festivals back in 2009. At The Disco headlining.

Other acts include Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Sum 41, The Courteeners and The Wombats.

With hundreds of acts set to play, Reading and Leeds will again be the unmissable festival weekend of the summer - defining and celebrating the sounds of modern ground-breaking music, as well as a world-class comedy line up.

American rap star and Grammy Award victor Kendrick Lamar will make his sophomore headline appearance since he performed at the festival in 2015.

United Kingdom rap and grime artists have a strong showing in this year's line-up, with J Hus, Skepta, Yungen, Ms Banks, AJ Tracey, Wretch 32, Fredo and Mist all booked to perform. Brighton four-piece The Magic Gang also join the bill in addition to Bedford-born and critically celebrated singer-songwriter Tom Grennan takes to the stage beside them after an incredible first year.
