More cards will be revealed starting with the 26th of March, when we will probably also get a more in-depth analysis of the new cards and abilities.
Here's a preview of seven new cards coming to the expansion. The film you are about to see was recovered from the recording equipment they left behind in the woods*.
Curious players can keep up with the now announced cards here.
"Dark magic has twisted the creatures of the forest and set them loose upon the Gilnean capital in Azeroth, but King Genn Greymane and his lycanthropic subjects won't make for easy prey", Blizzard said in an announcement.
The video wraps up with a tease for a Hagatha card-a new hero card, quite possibly, but there appear to be at least a couple of Hagathas in the WoW mythos-Hagatha Moorehead, Matron Hagatha-and neither of them look like the character on the card.
The Witchwood will also offer players a new single-player mode called Monster Hunt.
Worgen cards will swap their attack and health for each turn they stay in your hand.
There's no official release date set yet, but The Witchwood is scheduled to arrive in mid-April.
For those that have been waiting for a new mode, you'll be getting it with Witchwood as well. These ghastly copies can be played again and again (as long as the player has enough mana!) before disappearing at the end of the turn.
Baku the Mooneater is a 9 mana, 7/8 minion that will buff your hero power if your deck has cards that only cost an odd amount of mana.
RUSH YOUR FOES - When played, minions with the new Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately, but can't attack the enemy Hero until the following turn. Those with smaller bank balances can snag a random Class Legendary and three card packs for free by logging in after The Witchwood launches.
Buying into the 50 pack pre-order of The Witchwood will grant you an additional 20 packs in addition to the exclusive card back.
