If it indeed has an in-display fingerprint sensor, then that would make HMD global one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers to make such technology available in certain key markets.

A website HowToTechNaija via GizmoChina has published a complete spec sheet of Nokia 8 Pro. According to a latest report from NokiaPowerUser, the company is planning to launch a new handset, expected to be called the Nokia 9 (2018), with the iPhone X-like display. Part of the reason behind this is Google which has sent a signal to Android OEMs to embrace the notch, thanks to Android P. Google plans to redesign Android P that will allow OEMs to optimise their notched phones better. It is unclear which company would supply the under-display fingerprint sensors to HMD Global for Nokia 9. One major drawback of Nokia 8 Sirocco is that it runs an older Snapdragon 835 processor. It has a curved edge-to-edge 5.5-inch pOLED 2K display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

For the camera optics, it will feature a 16-megapixel and 16-megapixel dual camera setup on the back along with dual-tone LED flash. Nokia 8 Pro smartphone will be reportedly powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which is coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It'll presumably be made in collaboration with Carl Zeiss. HMD Global remains committed to the Bothie camera feature that allows you to take photos and videos with front and back cameras simultaneously.

The leak further claims, the upcoming Nokia phone is backed by a large 4,000mAh battery and it supports wireless charging.

Google with its upcoming Android P is making sure Android OEMs embrace the notch. The upcoming Nokia-branded flagship is said to have an upgraded front camera.
