After all the talks about Jacqueline Fernandez recreating the version of "Ek do teen", which featured Madhuri Dixit in the original soundtrack from 1998 film Tezaab, for 'Baaghi 2', the makers of Tiger Shroff's romantic-actioner have released a teaser video.
Madhuri Dixit's "Ek Do Teen" is one of the most iconic Bollywood tracks and almost everyone can hum along to at least its chorus.
Now Jacqueline Fernandez is set to add her charm to that iconic song in the film BAAGHI 2, starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the lead roles.
The first look of the song was released early on Friday. Just like Madhuri, Jacqueline too seems to be looking for her beloved.
In a span of one hour, the teaser has already grabbed more than 76k eyeballs. Donning a similar dress as the original, Jacqueline is sitting, one hand over her forehead as the other arm is stretched away from her body. In the context of the story, it makes sense for the film to features scenes of Madhuri's scantily clad character entertaining a huge crowd of men because she's a central character and that's her job.
The look has been designed by ace designer Manish Malhotra. We're not trying to match up to what Madhuri Dixit did. "It made a lot easier for me when I understood that it's not possible, we are not trying to match up to what Madhuri Dixit and Saroj (Khan) Ji did".
Adding to it the Race 3 actor said, "This is honestly, more than anything, a tribute to an fantastic and iconic number that they gave to us, which is "Ek Do Teen Char". We are honestly fans, big, big fans of their work.
Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan and will be released in theatres on March 30, 2018.
