"We've been keeping America running on Dunkin' for decades and we're thrilled to partner with Saucony to literally keep Bostonians running this marathon season", stated Justin Unger, director of strategic partnerships at Dunkin' Brands.
The limited edition run arrives just in time for the Boston Marathon to celebrate the "symbiotic relationship between running, coffee and donuts", which is ideal. I usually do not even glimpse the Boston Marathon, but I might have a change of heart this year, as I am eager to see if any would-be winners or just-here-to-have-fun participants go gallivanting with a little extra pep in their steps. Per the retailer, the shoe celebrates "the symbiotic relationship between coffee, running and donuts".
You can now add Dunkin' Donuts shoes to your sneaker collection. Thanks to a news release's mention of "iced coffee and hot coffee insoles" and a "frosted donut heel", the tribute commodity is not short on originality, and continues an interesting trend that finds food franchises offering footwear options. They also come in a donut box, so there's that. Three sets of laces ship with each pair-black, orange, and magenta-allowing wearers to customize their look. Dunkin' Donut employees along the marathon route will be outfitted in custom Saucony T-shirts as they cheer runners and host fans. "Boston" is engraved on the soles in the iconic Dunkin' font, and "America Runs On Dunkin" is written on the heel. Orders are expected to be delivered April 3.
