A Quiet Place sequel is a no-brainer, considering the amount amassed by the film, which totaled to $213 million worldwide and close to $135 million in North America.
"We're already working with these guys on a sequel", studio chairman Jim Gianopulos told exhibitors.
A Quiet Place is also proving to be a commercial success for the studio, earning $50 million during its domestic opening weekend.
Paramount confirmed that a sequel to the smash-hit film A Quiet Place is already in development.
No news yet on Krasinski's involvement, nor a release date.
"We're laying the foundation for the success that Paramount had in the past and I'm incredibly confident that we have the right team, culture, and attitude in place to take Paramount to new heights". It's also made Krasinski an overnight below-the-line star after years as a comedy star on NBC's "The Office".
"If you told me five years ago that an nearly silent film starring the very amusing guy Jim from The Office would have been a hit at Paramount, I would have said, 'Well, I should go work at Paramount, '" the executive quipped.
It's not yet clear whether the sequel will focus on the same storyline and family, and even if Krasinski - who co-wrote the screenplay with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck and is now attached to direct sci-fi thriller 'Life on Mars' for Paramount - will be involved.
