Became available smartphones shades of Burgundy Red and Gold Sunrise.

The Sunrise Gold edition for Galaxy S9 and S9+ is Samsung's first device to feature a satin gloss finish which wraps the smartphone in a tranquil glow and glimmer. The gadgets went on sale without prior announcements.

The release adds to the three colors of the Galaxy S9 now existing in the local market - black, blue and purple.

Both are powered by an Exynos 9810 processor with 10 nm and 6 GB RAM, with the exception of the Chinese and US Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus versions which boast a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845.

There is no surprise in this move, however, as a year ago, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also wore burgundy red. If that was the only thing putting you off, then you'll be happy to hear that Samsung has just announced it's bringing Titanium Grey handsets to the United Kingdom, alongside the brand new "Sunrise Gold". These are an addition to the previously available Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple color variants.

Burgundy Red will be available in Korea and China from May.

Samsung said Tuesday it's adding Burgundy Red to the stable of colors the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is available in.

All that said, Galaxy S9 sales in South Korea finally crossed the 1 million threshold this week, just about two months after launching on March 16.
