According to the makers, "June 1 is a better date from a distributional point of view". Interestingly, he is headed towards a clash with his sister, Sonam Kapoor-starrer Veere Di Wedding.
Exhibitor and distributor Rajesh Thadani feels the reason Harshvardhan's second film, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, was moved to June 1 could have been buzz about the release of John Abraham's Parmanu. Overall, the poster has a dark yet quirky vibe to it, much like the film as the director Vikramaditya Motwane has claimed. Harshvardhan Kapoor's will get a better number of shows and June 1st as a date has a greater audience potential.
Brother Harshvardhan's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero to clash with Sonam's Veere Di Wedding
According to reports, the makers chose to delay the release of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero as June 1 is a better date from a "distributional point of view" as with the previous release date the film would have clashed with John Abraham-starrer "Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran". It has a greater audience potential and is a safe distance away from holdover Hindi and English releases.
Speaking of Veere Di Wedding, the film is a high spirited and upbeat coming of age story revolving around the lives of four childhood friends. The film is based on the story of a common man, who undertakes the role of a superhero owing to multiple incidents.
As for Sonam, Veere Di Wedding is one of her most ambitious projects with her sister Rhea being one of the producers.
