Much of the EA Play press conference revolved around expected announcements for the EA Sports line, including new entries in Madden, NBA Live, and Federation Internationale de Football Association coming this fall-but with one surprise.
Essentially gamers will be able to buy skins to customize their Javelin mechs and likely their weapons as well.
EA Play 2018 has officially wrapped up and had quite a few reveals up its sleeves for fans.
Anthem will release on 22 February, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 will be available on September 28th, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. "We launched our game in November of a year ago, and clearly we didn't get it quite right", DICE Design Director Dennis Brannvall explained at EA Play 2018.
Primarily, BioWare is creating a story to which it can "add story for years to come", with each story development drawing out "something new and mysterious for players to discover". As for the release date, the game is usually scheduled on October 19 but the developer hinted that it could be delayed. "However, we've put most of our effort into Javelin personalization". Also included in the special edition of Anthem is the game's digital soundtrack. EA has also maximised the interaction with the game environment so as to give a more realistic approach.
Popular strategy game Command & Conquer is also making a comeback, with a new mobile game confirmed by EA. The game offers a co-op for up to four players wishing to plunge into the living, dynamic world. Electronic Arts has done a complete about face on microtransaction policies it embraced less than a year ago, and went a step further by dropping Premium Passes.
EA's World War II shooter game recently unveiled that the new edition of Battlefield will feature a new multiplayer battle royale mode.
Other notable nuggets from the EA Play event are that there are lots of EA SPORTS titles on the way.
E3 2018 has kicked off with EA Play leading the charge. Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 will release worldwide on all platforms on 28 September 2018.
"We really want players to express themselves, both through customizing the way their Javelin plays through gear and weapons, but also being able to personalize the way that it looks - both through paint jobs as well as changing the actual geometry of the suit itself".
