Amazon just gave Prime members even better deals at Whole Foods

It's all about Amazon's model of adding more benefits to Prime membership, and now almost half of all Whole Foods stores offer these deals.

Richmond Prime members can have thousands of Whole Foods Market items delivered such as produce, bakery, meat, and seafood.

In a statement Monday morning, Amazon said that starting June 13, Prime members will receive an additional 10 percent off sale items at Whole Foods stores, plus discounts on other select products such as Annie's Natural Macaroni & Cheese, yellowfin tuna steaks and organic nectarines and peaches. Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon, North Carolina, and Washington join the existing 13 states. Now, Prime members can get discounts at about half of the Whole Foods Market locations across the U.S.

Amazon has expanded its Prime member savings at Whole Foods Market to an additional 10 states. Or, customers can opt in to use their mobile phone number to save at checkout.

Amazon and Whole Foods said Prime member deals will be featured prominently in stores.

Amazon plans to deploy the discounts to all of its USA stores this summer.

With the newest expansion, Amazon Prime deals will be available to shoppers of Whole Foods stores in almost half the country.

Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is $7.99 on orders $35 or more.

Amazon offers delivery service from Whole Foods stores in 10 cities (not including Charlotte and Raleigh) and will continue expanding throughout 2018, the company said.
