Ubisoft once again showed off the highly-anticipated Beyond Good & Evil 2 during its E3 2018 press conference. The short clip offers clues about the title's moment-to-moment action and, most importantly, a sneak peek at the game's villain. We still don't know a release date for the long, long awaited sequel to Michel Ancel's 2003 cult hit, but the four minute cinematic teaser revealed a little more about the game's storyline and characters - including a few familiar faces.
Among other coming games shown off by Ubisoft was psychological thriller "Transference", a collaboration with another Hollywood star Elijah Wood, which will see players grapple with twists and mysteries in a deranged mind. The crew then faced off against a woman that Pey'j identified as Jade, the main character from the original Beyond Good & Evil. We get a glimpse at the ship's sick bay, which is filled with crew members who've fallen sick and drunk from the cook's "miraculous space chili". The game promises solo and co-op multiplayer in a "vast and seamless online playground", which will take place in a new solar system. Artists will be able to link their HitRECord and Space Monkey Program accounts, and start submitting content with the tag "BGE2" for review by the development team. "There are lots of legends in the universe of Beyond Good and Evil 2 about this young girl slaying pirates - hunting down pirates in this universe - so everybody's afraid of that young girl", says associate creative director Emile Morel. The best stuff will appear in Beyond Good and Evil 2, giving the game a "real world" connection.
