Starlink: Battle for Atlas has both humans and intelligent animals as characters, as we noticed in the cinematic trailer. Laurent Malville, the game director, appeared on stage after the trailer and introduced Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. While it initially presented itself as a somewhat generic spaceship combat sim, the neat twist is that you can attach model spaceships to your controller. Starlink: Battle for Atlas features an open, living star system; allowing you to seamlessly travel through the seven exotic alien worlds of the Atlas Star System.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas launches on October 16, 2018. That's good news, but the bad news for some is that the game's Star Fox content will only be available on Nintendo Switch. Throughout your adventure you can swap out its parts whenever you want.
In addition to choosing ships, you'll also be able to choose pilots from the spunky Calisto Chase D Silva to Fox McCloud himself.
"We are excited to give players a deeper look at Starlink: Battle for Atlas, the first all-new property from Ubisoft Toronto", said the studio's creative director, Laurent Malville.
In Starlink, you lead a group of pilots as you build a starship.
