North London rivals Arsenal face a tough first two games without Arsene Wenger.

"There is always a great atmosphere for games in Dublin and amongst Irish fans and I think it will act as a very important game for both teams as it is played so close to the start of the new Premier League season".

Please note that all fixtures are subject to change for the purposes of television coverage or due to participation in European competition.

The opening day of the season has the whopper clash between Arsenal and their tormentors from last season, the champions Manchester City.

But City, who ended United's long unbeaten run at Old Trafford with a 2-1 win last December, will travel to Old Trafford on March 16 believing that they can take huge step towards retaining their title with another win on enemy territory.

The Foxes are at home twice over the festive period with Premier League champions Manchester City to visit on Boxing Day, before promoted Cardiff City also head to King Power Stadium three days later.

Liverpool's start appears more challenging.

Tottenham, who will join City, United and Liverpool in the Champions League next season, begin their campaign at Newcastle for the second successive season before hosting Fulham a week later.

Arsenal finished sixth and without a trophy, while Chelsea FC were fifth and won the FA Cup.

The promoted sides were all spared a daunting sequence of games to start the season - although all face one of the "big six" in their opening four matches.
