Conor McGregor Due in NYC Court for Brooklyn Brawl

McGregor has a hearing in a NY courtroom Thursday related to his alleged attack.

Conor McGregor appeared in court today in Brooklyn relating to an incident in NY in April.

Conor McGregor hasn't fought inside the Octagon in nearly two years now, and many UFC fans have been wondering for some time now exactly when we'll see the former UFC Lightweight Champion fighting again.

Video showed what appeared to be McGregor hurling a trolley at a bus full of MMA fighters after a news conference for the UFC 223 event at the Barclays Centre in April. Once that initial court appearance is out of the way, it appears the he and White will finally talk face to face.

"I don't know what's going to happen", White told TMZ.

UFC overlord Dana white indicated he has no inside information on Thursday's happenings and will be waiting on tenterhooks.

If the former New York prosecutors are correct, McGregor would be legally eligible to return to the Octagon in late 2018, which of course, would make the highly-anticipated showdown against UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov a possibility if negotiations are successful. "I'm pretty confident [a lightweight title fight] is a fight that Conor wants, and I'm pretty confident that is a fight Khabib wants". McGregor is reportedly working on a plea deal that could see him avoid jail time.

McGregor is due at Kings County court around 10 a.m., Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting tweeted.
