Robert De Niro apologizes to Trudeau for Trump's 'idiotic behaviour'

Robert De Niro shared her feelings about Donald Trump on a live TV show. De Niro's "Fuck Trump" reverberated all over social media via secondhand reports of what he said.

Trump's spate of Twitter tirades has seen a number of political leaders rally around Trudeau, including Conservative leader Andrew Scheer and incoming Ontario premier Doug Ford. Trump advisers also ripped Trudeau, branding him a back-stabber.

The actor was in Toronto Monday for the groundbreaking of the Canadian Nobu restaurant, which he was launching alongside celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

"Inarticulate, Low IQ Robert DeNiro screams "F- Trump" on The Tony Awards and gets a standing ovation.

Actor Robert De Niro used the opportunity of the Tony Award ceremony to fling insults at the U.S. president.

The Tony Awards dress rehearsal - normally with few actual stars in attendance - got a shock of A-listers this year, including Tina Fey, Kelli O'Hara, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Leguizamo, Tituss Burgess - and Bruce Springsteen.

Welcoming Springsteen to the stage, DeNiro added: "In these perilous times, you rock the vote, always fighting for truth, transparency and integrity in government".

It was hardly the first time that De Niro, who was born in NY and lives in the city, attacked fellow New Yorker Trump.

"I know what's you're thinking... but after De Niro, CBS told us to do something drastic", Groban said while dressed in Bareilles' costume from the nominated Waitress. "Boy, do we need that now".

De Niro, left, and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa are partners on the new project. Kushner went even further, calling Trump's presidency "the Hitler mistake" that put a "borderline psychotic narcissist in the White House." .

In October 2016, De Niro made headlines by declaring that he wanted to punch Trump in the face.
