The magazine highlighted the fact that the 20-year-old Jenner is on the way to becoming the "Youngest Self-Made Billionaire", unseating the current titleholder Zuckerberg who had his first billion at 23-years-old.
Jenner credits her more than 100 million social media followers as the key to her success.
On Wednesday, Kylie Jenner graced the cover of Forbes' August issue, which ranked her as one of the most successful women entrepreneurs in America.
She shared the Forbes magazine cover for Kylie Jenner with the caption: "She was always trolled for getting her lips done, bullied all the time". "Social media is an fantastic platform", she says in the Forbes cover story. The problem lies where the Magazine lists her as a "Self-Made billionaire"... "Her story is not inspiring or motivating for anyone".
As people debate Forbes' decision to put Kylie Jenner on a list of "self-made" billionaires, Dictionary.com is wading into the discourse.
"Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided", the online dictionary tweeted. And, Dictionary.com made a decision to drop the definition of "self-made" at an expertly shady moment. Forbes also says Jenner is the 27th-richest self-made woman in the United States, beating out the rest of her family. "Words have meanings and it behooves a dictionary to remind us of that". The daughter of Caitlyn and Kris Jenner, Kylie got a taste of celebrity at a young age from starring on the hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians alongside her sister, Kendall; her half-sisters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian; and her half-brother, Rob.
