'I can not say': Pogba drops massive hint at United trouble

The World Cup victor was sublime but with Mourinho openly criticizing him in the past and now exactly praising him for helping France to World Cup glory this summer, Pogba doesn't seem that happy at Old Trafford.

Despite showing tremendous maturity in his displays at Russian Federation 2018 with France, there's been a growing sense of uncertainty over his long-term future at the Premier League giants.

Since the end of last season, Pogba has been linked with Juventus and Barcelona, amid rumours his relationship with Mourinho was on the rocks.

Manchester United captain Paul Pogba has hinted at his discontent at his club in his latest interview with ESPN: "If you're not happy, you can not give your best", Pogba said.

Mourinho also added that the club had to play against a team that spent more than United in the transfer window, while also claiming that other teams are bringing quality players into their side.

When everybody next to you knows they want to fight for you, it's going to be easier and makes the team go higher.

"I always love this club".

Mourinho has cut an unhappy figure throughout the summer and the Red Devils failed to land a number of transfer targets he had identified. That's all I'll say.

Pogba scored as France beat Croatia 4-2 in the final to win the World Cup in July for the second time.

It was an impressive display that led to a standing ovation and hope that the Old Trafford faithful would now see the best from a supremely talented midfielder.

The midfielder, who was given the captaincy by Mourinho on Friday, summed up what it meant for him to be happy and comfortable. I think we are more the head coach than the manager. "I have always been talking to the team-mates. For me, it was a dream come true". Pogba duly obliged, putting his best foot forward but it was his off-the-pitch actions that have once again, stoked discussion and a possibility of a serious rift between the manager and the talisman: the all-important axis of United.
