Final Fantasy Is Being Well Represented On Switch

That was far from the only Final Fantasy related annoucement though, even accepting that news of Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD had already leaked out. Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire Editor in Chief, dropped the news on the Xbox Wire website and has announced that a collection of Final Fantasy titles will be coming to the Xbox One over the coming few months.

This makes it the very first time Final Fantasy XII is available on a Nintendo console. World of Final Fantasy originally launched for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in October 2016, and for PC in November 2017.

Beginning with news that last year's remastered, rebooted Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will arrive on the hybrid console sometime in 2019, Nintendo then proceeded to unveil one Final Fantasy classic after another. The big bombshell, though, is that not just one, not two, but a whole airship's worth of the mainline Final Fantasy games are headed to the Switch! When it was leaked (and then confirmed) that the Switch was getting the adorable mobile phone version of the game, Final Fantasy fans shrugged with approval - at least it was something.

In addition to all the throwback gaming goodness, Nintendo also unveiled some throwback hardware: an updated, wireless version of the iconic old-school NES controllers.
