Maurizio Sarri confirms decision made on Chelsea’s new club captain

CHELSEA manager Maurizio Sarri can "make history" at the club with the players he has at his disposal.

Mario Gotze is excited to watch the battle between two of his former bosses as Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp go toe-to-toe for the Premier League title this season.

Willian wanted an exit from the club under Antonio Conte but with the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, the 30-year-old attacker is set to remain with the Blues for the next five years.

Chelsea have defeated Huddersfield, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth, and are one of only three teams to boast a 100 per cent record.

"So it's going to be hard for them to win the Premier League".

Conte also steered Chelsea FC to the FA Cup title last season before he was sacked and replaced by Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

"A lot of people they say a lot of things in the press, but I never said that I want to leave Chelsea, never".

The Blues will return to Premier League action this weekend as they bid to make it five wins from five in the top flight under their new manager. "For the moment, the captain is Azpilicueta, I will tell you the final decision after I talk with the players and club".

Fabregas could find it hard to force his way into the side with N'Golo Kante and Jorginho also for competition yet he is confident that his style of play will suit Sarri's philosophy.

He has started in all four games Chelsea have played so far this season in the English Premier League. Fortunately, we have very strong young players: "Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Ampadu. and I'd like to give them the right space". I think this season is too soon, but I hope not.

Guardiola's defending champions Manchester City are favourites to retain their crown in 2018-19 and have looked in excellent form in the opening four matches of the campaign.
