People privy to the development told the newspaper that the promoters group, led by NR Narayana Murthy and Nandan Nilekani , might sell their entire 12.72 percent stake, worth around Rs 28,000 crore in Infosys . Murthy then onwards sought exit of Chairman R Seshasayee, saying that the board had failed in its fiduciary responsibility. It may be noted that the co-founders have been "interfering" in company affairs even as they do not hold any executive or non-executive positions at Infosys.
